The brief
The Wintech Modular team were tasked with constructing a new modular early years building to provide a comfortable yet functional learning environment for nursery aged children to replace a smaller outdated facility and compliment the surrounding environment.
The concept
The new classroom building was approximately 12m wide x 15m long to be constructed in 5 modules prefabricated at the Wintech fabrication facility. The plan layout of the building included a main classroom, a kitchenette, a small sleeping room and a child friendly toilet area. It was decided that external timber cladding would provide a suitable architectural finish for the building.
The results
The new early years facility has provided the school with a modern and spacious unit. Looking forward, it will meet the needs of the Academy as well as those of the children well in to the future.
